Scott Weiland Discusses New Record, Future Of STP

Scott Weiland, the Stone Temple Pilots frontman whose new solo record, "12 Bar Blues," has been met with some generally glowing reviews, is already looking forward to an upcoming solo tour and his eventual reunion with his STP bandmates.

Weiland took a break from filming a video for the new track "Barbarella," and talked with MTV News about his thoughts on the solo album, as well as the future of Stone Temple Pilots.

"I am extremely happy about the way the record sounds," Weiland said. "I'm proud of it. I think it's the best music I've ever written [600k QuickTime] and a year from now or so we should probably be getting excited and looking forward to getting back together with my brothers in STP and making the fourth album.

As we previously reported (see [article id="1434671"]"Talk Show Silences Singer, Scott Weiland Readies
