Weiland Arrested And Released... Again

Two weeks after a bench warrant was issued for Scott Weiland's arrest after he missed a court date, the singer was arrested in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening.

Weiland was released Wednesday morning after posting $250,000 bail and being issued an August 12 court date, but as of Thursday afternoon the singer had yet to return to the rehab facility he was staying at prior to his most recent arrest.

As we previously reported (see "Bench Warrant Issued For Weiland After Missed Court Date"), the warrant for Weiland was issued on July 9 after the singer failed to appear in court to answer to a felony charge of heroin possession from an arrest in last September.

The singer still has a July 31 court date in a New York City court for another drug possession charge. Weiland was arrested after allegedly purchasing heroin at a housing project on Manhattan's Lower East side on June 1 shortly before a scheduled concert appearance.
