Scott Weiland Sentenced To 90 Days Rehab, Three Years Probation

Scott Weiland was sentenced to three years of probation and 90 days in a live-in drug treatment program today in Los Angeles Criminal Court.

The Stone Temple Pilot frontman plead guilty to the felony charge of heroin possession, which stems from an arrested last September. He was found in possession of the substance and a syringe while stopped for a traffic violation. The charge of drug paraphernalia possession was dropped, according to a court spokesperson.

Weiland -- who was also ordered to pay $442 in probation supervision fees, $200 in restitution, and $50 in lab testing fees -- left the court room with the program director of Impact House, the treatment facility.

As we previously reported (see "Bench Warrant Issued For Weiland After Missed Court Date"), Weiland was out $250,000 bail after being arrested for failing to appear in court last month to answer these charges.
