The hard rockers in Staind got a big break this past year when their old friend in Limp Bizkit, Fred Durst, tapped the band to appear on the Family Values tour. Now the band is looking to extend some of its good fortune to its fans.Staind is currently soliciting designs and artwork for future band t-shirts after a similar contest helped the band find the cover art for its recent major label album, "Dysfunction." The group had wanted to use the same artwork, but it into some rather sticky business issues. "It's a licensing thing," Staind guitarist Mike Mushok told the MTV Radio Network. "The pictures on the CD are licensed for being sold as a CD, not for merchandise, and you have to pay some astronomical amount of money if you wanted to use any of those images." The band is still seeking ideas for some new T-shirts, and if you have images or designs you'd like to submit, you can send them to the group at firstname.lastname@example.org. Staind will play the Sideshow
Music Hall in Lackawanna, New York on Tuesday night and will then travel to Seattle to play at radio station KNDD's Deck the Hall Ball along with Bush, Beck, 311, Foo Fighters, and Filter on December 9.
