Spiritualized Joins H.O.R.D.E.

June 12 [16:00 EDT] -- The U.K.-based Spiritualized has been added to the 1997 H.O.R.D.E. tour on the heels of their previously delayed new CD.

The band's semi-ambient space rock will add yet another dimension to the festival that already features Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Toad the Wet Sprocket and Soul Coughing among many others.

Spiritualized's much anticipated third album, "Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space," is due in U.S. stores July 1. The release was originally scheduled for May but frontman Jason Pierce had to recut a track after the band was refused permission from the writers to use the lyrics for the Elvis Presley hit "I Can't Help Falling In Love with You."

The record is receiving a thumbs up from the critics, industry watchers are expecting a strong showing. The band is in the process of planning it's own headlining tour of the States.

H.O.R.D.E. dates featuring Spiritualized include August 15 in Charlotte, NC, August 16

in Bristow, VA, August 17 in Camden, NJ, August 19, Holmdel, NJ and August 20 in Burgettstown, PA.
