September 25 [Updated 14:00 EDT] -- If you thought the Spice Girls had a high profile before, just wait until winter rolls around.
Virgin Records confirms that the gals will release a new single, "Spice Up Your Life," to radio stations on October 1, and will send the song to record stores on October 21. Then, the Girls will pop up on home video with an as-yet-untitled release set for October 28.
The Spice juggernaut continues with the arrival of the group's next album, "Spiceworld" (which is actually the soundtrack to the Girls' upcoming film), on November 4.
Finally, the five Spices will make their big screen debut in "Spiceworld" on January 23. Before hitting the saturation point, the Girls will perform for South African President Nelson Mandela and England's Prince Charles at a concert in Johannesburg set for November 1.
The show is dubbed the "Two Nations Concert," and it's a joint British and South African benefit for the Nation's Trust, a group set
up by Mandela with the Prince's Trust. The Nation's Trust will support young South African entrepreneurs.
Joining the Spice Girls at the show will be other British acts like Des'ree and Billy Ocean, and South African acts like Rebecca Malope and Jonathan Butler.
