Britney Spears will kick off this year's "A Day in the Garden" concert series with a Fourth of July show at Yasgur's farm in Bethel, New York -- the site of the original Woodstock peace and music festival held back in 1969.Spears' July 4 gig is being sponsored by the same group that sponsored last summer's "A Day in the Garden" concert, which featured performances from such rock icons as Lou Reed and Joni Mitchell, as well as the Goo Goo Dolls and Third Eye Blind. "A Day in the Garden" organizers are currently planning additional concerts for the Bethel venue as part of its summer series, although a final schedule of artists and dates is still pending. Spears, who has already sold over 3 million copies of her debut, "Baby One More Time," will make the trip to Yasgur's farm during the first week of her upcoming U.S. tour, scheduled to start on June 28 in Pompano Beach, Florida. Woodstock '99, the actual multi-day concert commemorating the 30th anniversary of the original
event, is slated for July 23-25 in Rome, New York, and will feature performances from DMX, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Wyclef Jean and Alanis Morissette, among others.
