Britney Spears Prepares To Launch Summer Tour

Next week, teen pop queen Britney Spears will kick off her summer tour, hitting the road with her chart-topping sounds as well as her Southern Baptist beliefs.

“I am very religious,” Britney told the MTV Radio Network. “I’m Baptist I guess, and it’s strong morals and going to church every Sunday and, you know, that’s how we are down south.”

While she takes a bit of that southern influence everywhere she goes, she won’t be trotting out any hymns during her two and a half month tour.

“I like singing pop songs more than I do religious songs, but I appreciate them just the same,” Spears explained. “I guess I can get into it more and you can dance, and you can have fun, and you can have a big audience.”
