Smashing Pumpkins Promise Chamberlin Question Will Be Revealed In Cybercast

So will Jimmy Chamberlin be back behind the kit for the Smashing Pumpkins' upcoming tour?

Well, the band hopes that the drama is enough enticement to lure fans to their computers Saturday night, when a live cybercast of the first date of the Pumpkins' club trek will take place.

Virgin Records declined to discuss the Pumpkins' touring line-up, though speculation (and a "Los Angeles Times" report) says that the drummer is back with the band.

Chamberlin was ousted from the band in July 1996 after he was arrested for heroin possession following the overdose death of touring keyboardist Jonathan Melvoin.

Of course, those putting together the cybercast hope the "will he or won't he?" suspense will be enough to get you to point your browser to the band's official website (at www.smashingpumpkins.com) on Saturday, April 10 at 10 p.m. eastern time for the cybercast.
