Smash Mouth, Verve Pipe To Serve Up Tunes For "Grill And Groove"

After playing at the Home Run Derby in Boston earlier this month, summery synth-rockers Smash Mouth will return to Beantown this weekend to headline a concert as part of the city's "Grill and Groove" celebration.

Opening the show, scheduled for July 24 at the BankBoston Pavilion, will be the Verve Pipe, which is out previewing material from its new self-titled album, due out on July 27.

The Smash Mouth-Verve Pipe concert will close out the three-day "Grill and Groove" event, sponsored by the makers of Samuel Adams beers and VH1's "Rock Across America" campaign.

Smash Mouth is currently winding down a short tour in support of its new album, "Astro Lounge," which is still holding strong in Billboard's Top 20 Pop Albums chart almost six weeks after its release.
