It's been a pretty great summer for the San Jose band Smash Mouth; its latest album, "Astro Lounge," is currently in the top ten on the "Billboard" album charts, and its single "All-Star" is sitting at number five on the Hot 100.

But it hasn't been an overnight success story, as frontman Steve Harwell told MTV News. He still remembers the odd side jobs the struggling bandmembers had to take at one point just to pay the bills.
