Slipknot Halts European Tour Early

Slipknot returned to the States from its European tour earlier than expected this week after prematurely pulling the plug on the trek.

With twelve dates remaining on its itinerary, the band has ended its tour early citing unspecified "personal issues" on its official Web site (at www.slipknot1.com).

"We are sorry to announce that due to some personal issues that arose at home, we had to cancel the rest of our European tour," the band tells fans on its Web site. "Refunds will be given for all tickets, so contact your nearest ticket dealer as soon as possible."

The band is calling the move a cancellation, but spokespeople for Slipknot's record label, Roadrunner Records, say that some of the dates may be rescheduled.

Stateside fans will get to see the band later this summer as the band plans to join Coal Chamber and Sevendust for the inaugural Tattoo The Earth tour (see "Slipknot,

Sevendust, Coal Chamber To Tattoo The Earth").
