Stones Won't Roll On Oregon Campus

April 16 [10:00 EST] -- The Rolling Stones won't be playing the Autzen Stadium at the University of Oregon in Eugene September 30.

While few dates have been confirmed, U. of O. has already rejected a request for a concert date, citing conflicts with football practice. The students have been launching protests but their objections so far appear to have fallen on deaf ears.

The Stones, currently recording in Los Angeles, will be releasing their record and rehearsing their usual massive stage show in August and are expected to begin touring September 1. The dates are being promoted by Michael Cohl's new company, The Next Adventure, which is also responsible for the U2 world trek that kicks off in Las Vegas on April 25th.
