November 20 [10:00 EDT] -- The Rolling Stones have announced their long anticipated shows at New York's Madison Square Garden for January 14 and 16.
The band's previous New York area appearance was at the giant Giants Stadium last month, making these shows comparitively intimate, as the Garden holds about a third as many people. An additional MSG date may also possibly be added, depending on the demand. Concerts in Quebec City and Syracuse, New York, have had to be reshuffled to accommodate the additions.
Tickets are on sale to the general public as of Monday morning, November 24 at 9 a.m. EST. Seats are first being offered to new Sprint customers from November 20 to 23. The wide-ranging admission prices come in four tiers, $30, $50, $85 and $150.
The shows had originally been penciled in for mid-December, but the dates were moved reportedly due to the pending birth of Jagger and wife Jerry Hall's fourth child, due in close proximity.
