April 2 [7:55 EST] -- While a number of artists are returning to the studio this month to start banging out new releases, The Red Hot Chili Peppers won't be among them.
"We've all been doing are own things and I think, as it stands, April 1 we're planning to commence work on our new Chili Pepper record," Chili Pepper guitarist Dave Navarro told MTV News earlier this year on the set of the video shoot for the Porno For Pyros track "Hard Charger."
However, since Navarro's initial declaration, band management now says that the guitarist himself is tinkering in the studio, but frontman Anthony Kiedis and bassist Flea are out of the country, until May 1.
"There are lots of good musical ideas that need to just be roped up and recorded," Flea recently told us. We'll keep you posted on the band's progress, and we'll also have reports on other band's who have entered the studio throughout the week.
