Red Hot Chili Peppers Prep For Teen Tolerance Tour

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced dates for their tour to promote teen tolerance, with the first two shows slated for this weekend in Portland and Seattle.

The group had been planning to play a few high school gigs prior to the release of its new album, "Californication," but decided to change the tone and concept behind the shows in the wake of the shooting at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado (see "Red Hot Chili Peppers To Rock Against School Violence").

The concerts will be held in all-ages venues and will be open only to area students who present ideas on how to end hatred and violence in high schools as the cost of admission.

  • 5/15 - Portland, OR @ Roseland Theater
  • 5/16 - Seattle, WA @ Moore Theater
  • 5/20 - Minneapolis, MN @ First Avenue
