The Product G&B, along with Wyclef Jean, has already taken over pop radio with Santana's Grammy Award-winning hit "Maria Maria," and now the duo will see the release of its own debut album this summer.
The Long Island-bred rappers are the newest act to come out of Wyclef's Refugee Camp crew, and 'Clef himself is also featured on two of the tracks on the Product G&B's debut LP.
The duo is comprised of Sincere and Money Harm who, only two years ago, were flat broke and seriously unknown. Now they've created their own sub-genre of R&B music that they call "G&B," or "Ghetto & Blues." As Sincere recently told MTV News, the group plans to showcase its "G&B" styings with its first album, which is also being co-produced by Wyclef.
"Yeah, the album is gonna be out July 18," Sincere said of the group's first full-length release. "'Cause 'Clef's album is coming out [on July 11]. You
know, the family's coming out. And basically, 'Ghetto & Blues' is a new music revolution. We're not R&B, we're G&B."
The Product G&B has already done its fair share of touring with select dates on Wyclef's college outing, which wrapped up in New York City last week (see "Mary J. Blige, Pras join Wyclef for NYC show").
