Prince Paul And Dan "The Automator" Tap Mike D, Money Mark, DJ Shadow For "Modeling School"

Prince Paul may be the godfather of the "skit" that is now a hip-hop album staple, and he's previously worked with the likes of De La Soul and Chris Rock. He released the star-studded album "Prince Among Thieves" earlier this year, and now Paul is at it again.

Using the alias "Chest Rockwell" and wearing a fake mustache, Prince Paul has teamed up with "Nathaniel Merriwether," a.k.a. Dr. Octagon producer Dan "The Automator" Nakamura, to create Handsome Boy Modeling School.

According to the superduo, their debut album "So... How's Your Girl?" was inspired by the opening scene in the classic movie "Saturday Night Fever" starring a young John Travolta. Fully in character as Mr. Merriwether, "The Automator" explained the connection to MTV News.

"So [John Travolta is] strutting down the street," Dan/Nathaniel began began, "and in the background, 'Stayin' Alive' is playing by the Bee Gees, and like,

you just know that that's his song, that's like his theme music. And you know, basically, we created the Handsome Boy [album] 'So... How's Your Girl?' as a soundtrack for better living, so other handsome people could use it as a soundtrack for their everyday lives." [RealVideo]

"So... How's Your Girl?" by Handsome Boy Modeling School (a name which makes obscure reference to the short-lived, long-remembered sitcom starring Chris Elliott) is in stores now, and it features appearances by Beastie Boy Mike D, Money Mark, Sean Lennon, DJ Shadow, and Brand Nubian's Sadat X (see "Prince Paul And Dan 'The Automator' Tap Mike D, Money Mark, DJ Shadow For 'Modeling School'").
