Primus To Release Album, Tour, Headline One World Festival

Just over a year after the release of Primus' all-covers EP, "Rhinoplasty," and hot on the heels of the group's stint on Ozzfest '99 comes news that the band is about the unleash its latest album, "Anti-Pop," and kick off yet another tour.

"Anti-Pop" will be in stores on Tuesday, October 19. As we previously reported, the record will be sporting an all-star guest list, including Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit, James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett of Metallica, Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine, Tom Waits, and former Police-man Stuart Copeland, among others (see [article id="1431294"]"Primus Enlists Fred Durst, James Hetfield, Tom Morello, Others For New Album"[/article]).

Soon after the release of the new record, the band will kick off its own headlining tour with Incubus and Buckethead as the group's supporting acts. Dates for that outing have yet to be announced.

For those who can't wait for the tour to begin, you can catch Primus when it headlines the

closing day of this year's One World Music Festival in Crested Butte, Colorado, which takes place from September 3-6. Also performing at that festival will be the Tom Tom Club, Spearhead, Galactic, and Bunny Wailer, among others.
