Static-X Lands Powerman 5000 Tour For 2000

After making the rounds with Sevendust to wrap up 1999, Static-X will kick off 2000 on the road with Powerman 5000.

The two "Buzzworthy" bands are teaming up for what will be a one-two dance metal punch kicking off on January 28 in Seattle. Static-X and Powerman 5000 will then roll through the West, the South, the Northeast, and the Midwest before wrapping up on February 27 in Columbus, Ohio.

Before meeting up with Powerman 5000, Static-X will take a brief respite from the road to shoot "I'm With Stupid," the second video from its "Wisconsin Death Trip" debut album.

Aside from the break for the video (and the holidays), Static-X has essentially been touring nonstop since "Wisconsin Death Trip" arrived last March. This spring, the group was headlining club gigs before hitting the road with this summer's Ozzfest and then did time on tours with Fear Factory, Megadeth, and Sevendust, finding time for their own headlining shows along the way as well.
