Phish To Tape "Hard Rock Live"

Having celebrated Tuesday's release of its new album, "Farmhouse," with an appearance on "The Late Show With David Letterman," the men of Phish are adding yet another gig to their jam-packed schedule.

Following the group's two upcoming record release dates at Manhattan's Radio City Music Hall, Phish will perform yet again on May 23 for an exclusive taping for VH1's "Hard Rock Live" series.

The concert is booked for Roseland Ballroom in New York City and is expected to consist of at least two hours of music with a 45-minute set break; the performance will be edited down to a one-hour episode scheduled to air July 1 on VH1 at midnight.

Tickets to the "Hard Rock" show are $40 each (exact change only) and will go on sale Monday May 22 at 8:30 a.m. A one-ticket-per-person rule is being strictly enforced; tickets must be purchased in person at the Roseland box office, where a wristband will be applied that will only be honored at the door in conjunction

with a ticket. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m.

No other tapings are currently scheduled for the "Hard Rock" series, but several previous episodes are set to repeat in upcoming months, including The Cure/Violent Femmes (May 20, May 24, and June 2), Mötley Crüe (June 17, June 23, and June 27), and "The Best Of 'Hard Rock Live:' The Women" (August 5, August 10, August 11, and August 15).

Phish hysteria has hit full stride following Tuesday's release of "Farmhouse," the band's eleventh album on Elektra. The band visited "The Late Show With David Letterman" that evening to perform "Heavy Things," the first single from the album. Meanwhile, the much-sought-after tickets for the band's two record release shows at New York City's Radio City Music Hall on May 21 and 22 have been offered up for sale in three different installments (the most recent offering occurred Thursday at noon); all were swept up within minutes.
