Pavement Films New Video During European Tour

The slack rockers in Pavement are currently performing some select dates across Europe to help promotional the band's new album, "Terror Twilight," which is due out on June 8.

Director Lance Bangs has tagged along for the European excursion, and has captured both concert and behind-the-scenes footage of the shows for use in the video to "Spit on a Stranger," the first single from "Terror Twilight."

Bangs has previously worked on music videos from such artists as R.E.M., Sonic Youth, Moby, Green Day and Hole, as well as various film-related projects for Michael Stipe and Jim McKay's C-00 Film Corporation.

A spokesperson for Pavement also nixed rumors of the band's imminent demise, and said that some of the vagueness regarding the band's future is typical for a loose-knit operations such as Pavement, which never plans much further than the next set of concert dates or recording sessions.

Pavement will return to the states next week after a jaunt through Germany, and is

scheduled to kick-off a short North American tour in early June.
