Offspring Takes To The Skies For New Record

The Offspring is currently drumming up support for its upcoming album with the video for "Pretty Fly," but the group has a few more tricks up its sleeve.

"Americana," the band's next effort, arrives on November 17, and the band is trumpeting its release by staging a contest that will see one winner fly with frontman Dexter Holland to an offspring show in Las Vegas. The catch is that Dexter will actually be piloting the flight. Holland recently earned his pilot's license, and will fly the contest winner to Vegas himself.

The Vegas show is part of a U.S. tour that kicks off in Tempe, Arizona on November 15, two days before "Americana" hits stores. The band will bring along fellow punk mainstays Unwritten Law for the trek, which runs through mid-December (for a full itinerary, see "Offspring Announces Dates For Fall Tour").
