Oasis Plan U.S. Tour To Push "Be Here Now"

November 3 [13:00 EDT] -- The boys in Oasis will take some time away from their busy schedule of slagging off rock's elderstatesmen to tour the U.S. beginning early next year.

After whetting the appetite of U.S. fans with two dates opening U2's PopMart tour in Oakland, California, two sold out shows at New York City's Hammerstein ballroom, and an appearance on "Saturday Night Live," the group will finally launch a Stateside tour in support of "Be Here Now" on January 9 in Fairfax, Virginia.

The tour may be just what the doctor ordered for the less than enthusiastic sales reception "Be Here Now" has received so far in the States. While Oasis saw its latest album rewrite sales records in the U.K. upon its release, the album is currently at number 32 in the U.S. eight weeks after its release.
