No Doubt To Perform At Grammy Awards

Jan. 28 [8:00 EST] -- The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences has yet to announce any of the performers for the Grammy Awards show February 26, but MTV News has confirmed that one of those acts will be No Doubt.

The ska-flavored outfit is up for two awards, "Best Rock Album" and "Best New Artist."

No Doubt's "Tragic Kingdom" is now in its seventh week at number one on the Billboard pop albums chart.

When we spoke with the band a couple of weeks ago, they already knew about the Grammy gig, and they told us they were ready to rock... and so were their parents.

"We're excited to play, because for us doing a live show ("Spiderwebs" live, 1MB), is what we live for," Tony Kanal told MTV News.

"It's what's kept us going for 10 years. So just having the opportunity to perform makes us feel really good. And we're gonna have a good time, it is gonna be a black tie affair, but our parents are going and our parents are getting into the moshing, they'll probably get a pit going. And I'm not too worried, my dad can get a really mean pit going."
