No Doubt Cruises Rave Scene For New Video

No Doubt is shooting a video for the song "New" in Los Angeles this week with former MTV Video Director of the Year Jake Scott. Though the song is for the soundtrack to the upcoming flick "Go!" the video will not contain any film footage, just an independent story line.

In the clip, each member of the band will portray a character on their way to a rave: singer Gwen Stefani will play an aloof indie scenester; bassist Tony Kanal will play an affluent blue-blood; guitarist Tom Dumont will play an enigmatic character; and drummer Adrian young will play a rowdy troublemaker.

Each of their stories will be interwoven into the overall plot and will be given equal importance in the video, which will not include any performance footage of the band in action.

As for No Doubt's next musical project, the group will be entering an L.A. studio this month with Alanis Morissette producer Glen Ballard to record the follow-up to "Tragic Kingdom." The album, which has yet to be titled, is expected

to hit store shelves by late summer, meanwhile the "Go!" Soundtrack is slated for release in March.
