Norman Cook, a.k.a. Fatboy Slim, and wife Zoe Ball are celebrating the holidays with the newest member of the Cook clan, a baby boy born to the couple on Friday (December 15).
The child, the couple's first, is named Woody and weighed in at approximately 9 pounds, Fatboy Slim's U.S. reps said. Cook and Ball, a former BBC Radio One DJ, were wed in August 1999, two weeks after Cook won several MTV Video Music Awards for the Fatboy Slim "Praise You" video.
The child was expected to arrive on Christmas Eve, but the BBC reports that Woody was delivered Friday via Caesarean section at London's Portland Hospital, where the Spice Girls' Victoria Beckham and Melanie Brown gave birth to their respective children last year.
Fatboy Slim has just completed a brief run of DJ dates in the U.K., and is not expected to mount a full tour in support of his newest album, Halfway Between the Gutter and the Stars, until sometime next year.
