Nice 'N Smooth Stage Hip-Hop Comeback

November 19 [12:15 EDT] -- Hip Hop comebacks are currently hot and Nice 'N Smooth are about to make theirs. Nice 'N Smooth join a wave of hip-hop artists, such as EPMD, Gangtarr, and Rakim (whose new LP is red hot, ranking number4 on the "Billboard" charts in its first week ), who have recently emerged from hibernation.

Now Nice 'N Smooth, who had hits like "Sometimes I Rhyme Slow" and "Hip Hop Junkies," hit the comeback trail with their first album in almost five years, "Blazin' Hot," [400k QuickTime] from Streetlife Records, the label run by Rakim's former DJ, Eric B.

Nice 'N Smooth will be at Roosevelt High School in the Bronx on Thursday to raise awareness by taking part in a Stay In School rally and an anti-gang violence essay contest. The winner will receive a thousand dollar savings bond toward their college tuition.

That's pretty smooth.
