Bono Croons With Willie Nelson

August 6 [14:00 EDT] -- Fresh from his cameo in Beck's video for "Jackass," country legend Willie Nelson will soon be seen hobnobbing with another MTV staple, Bono of U2.

The Irish frontman turns up in "Willie Nelson: Down Home," a PBS special that captures Nelson in concert and off stage in his Texas hometown. In the special, Bono tells of his affinity for Nelson, and later duets with the country star on a song that Bono actually penned for Nelson.

"Down Home" is also chock full of performance footage featuring Nelson and his Family Band (which includes Bobbie Nelson, Bee Spears, Mickey Raphael, Billy English, Paul English, Jody Payne, and Johnny Gimble) as well as interviews and intimate glimpses into the performer's life.

Willie, Bono, and all the rest will debut in "Willie Nelson: Down Home" during PBS' pledge drive in mid-to-late August (viewers should check local listings for air dates).
