Surviving members of N.W.A. reunited onstage for the first time in over ten years on Saturday, March 11 to perform a handful of songs for the USA Network's "Jimmy And Doug's Farmclub.com."Snoop Dogg was recruited into the N.W.A. lineup in place of the late Eazy-E, and Snoop talked with MTV News about the honor of joining the group right before he hit the stage with Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and MC Ren. "The first time that they mentioned it to me, I was all in," Snoop Dogg said. "I grew up being a fan of N.W.A. and Eazy. I had everything that they put down, [even] when they were [selling] records out of the trunk of their cars. So, I was supportive for the cause before, and right now that I'm in it, I'm able to keep it alive. "I'm gonna do my best to make sure I don't let nobody down and just represent it to the fullest. Just, you know, assist the homeboys in the best way that I know and
try to make the best album that I've ever been on. And that's what we're all creatively trying to do." [RealVideo]Quentin Tarantino is in talks to direct a video for N.W.A.'s "Chin Check," a new song the group recorded for the "Next Friday" soundtrack (see "Dr. Dre Talks N.W.A. Reunion; Track Surfacing On 'Next Friday'"). N.W.A. is also writing new material for an album that will be tentatively be recorded later this year.
