Mötley's Sixx Pleads Not Guilty In Arizona Assault

As his Mötley Crüe mate Tommy Lee did last week, Nikki Sixx reportedly pleaded not guilty to assault charges they assaulted a security guard at a Phoenix concert last year.

According to Reuters news, Sixx faces a misdemeanor assault charge, and his attorney answered the charge in Phoenix Municipal Court on Monday with a not guilty plea.

As we first reported last year (see "Mötley Crüe's Nikki Sixx And Tommy Lee Busted"), both Sixx and Lee were arrested after an incident at their show at the America West Arena. At the time, security officials at the arena claimed that the band encouraged the crowd to rush the stage, and said that when one security guard tried to maintain order he was "tackled" by Sixx and Lee.

As we reported last week (see "Tommy Lee Answers Assault Charge Via Fax"), Lee was arraigned last week, and pleaded not guilty to his misdemeanor

assault charge in a fax to the court.

According to Reuters, Sixx now faces a February 27 court date in the matter.
