Tommy Lee Gets Naked, Nikki Sixx Gets Arrested… Again

Nikki Sixx has been arrested yet again, and it appears his former bandmate Tommy Lee is destined to meet the same fate if his new group, Methods Of Mayhem, tours North Carolina… and maybe even if it doesn’t.

Sixx was picked up by local authorities on an old warrant following Mötley Crüe’s concert in Raleigh, North Carolina on Friday. Sixx is accused of directing racial slurs at a security guard, pouring liquor on his head, and encouraging the crowd to attack the man in Greensboro in October of 1997 (see “Mötley Crüe’s Sixx Clashes With Carolina Security Guard” ).

According to the Associated Press, Sixx was charged with felony rioting and three misdemeanor charges of inciting a riot, assault, and disorderly conduct. The bassist spent the night in jail and was released early Saturday morning after posting a $7,500 bond.

Former Crüe drummer Lee is wanted on similar charges relating to the same incident. The AP reports
that the local sheriff is threatening to list Lee on a national wanted list if he doesn’t turn himself in, which would mean Lee could be arrested anywhere in the country.

Lee and Sixx are also targeted in a civil suit filed by the security guard and his employers last year that is scheduled to go to trial in November. Sixx has posted on the band’s official Web site that he intends to fight the lawsuit.

Meanwhile, Lee has shot a music video for his new Methods Of Mayhem project, and it seems he’s taken a page from his most infamous video to date; he appears nude in the clip, along with wife Pamela Anderson Lee (see “Tommy, Pamela Lee Sue Website Over Sex Tape” ).

The wardrobe (or lack thereof) is in keeping with the song’s title, “Get Naked.” According to Lee, the cast, and even the crew, did just that. “Naked dirtbike riders, surfers, skaters, cops, you name it… it’s a freeforall,” posted Lee on a Mötley Crüe message board.
“Even the production and film crew where naked!”

The scenes were shot on the Universal Studios’ back lot by director Chris Hafner and feature guest appearances from Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst, Lil’ Kim, Beastie Boys’ DJ Mix Master Mike, and George Clinton. The video will begin airing in early October.

The song will be the first single from Methods of Mayhem, which features Tommy Lee on guitars, drums, and vocals along with rapper TiLo. Guests on the upcoming LP include Durst, Mix Master Mike, Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland of the Crystal Method, U-God of the Wu-Tang Clan, Lil’ Kim, Snoop Dog, George Clinton, Bobby B of Kottonmouth Kings, and Kid Rock. The album is being produced by Scott Humphrey (White Zombie) and is due out later this fall.

A spokesperson for Lee’s label, MCA Records, says at this stage the musician is only concentrating on finishing the album and won’t be worrying about putting together a touring band until it’s done.

Meanwhile, Lee will be making his
professional acting debut in a pending episode of his wife’s syndicated TV series, “V.I.P.” A spokesperson for the series confirms that Lee will be appearing in a segment called “Valma And Louise” in a small role as a gas station attendant.

The episode is scheduled to air sometime in the production’s second season, which gets underway later this month.
