George Michael, who visited our Times Square studio on Wednesday for a rare live interview, stayed after the broadcast to speak more extensively about his arrest last April for sexual misconduct in a public park.
He also explained his controversial, yet tongue-in-cheek video for his new single, "Outside," and discussed his own experience of growing up questioning his sexual identity.
"I grew up thinking I was bi-sexual," Michael told MTV, "and it took me to a certain point in my life to realize that I wasn't. But I never thought it was a moral question, because however difficult I thought it might have been, I didn't feel any shame about it." [28.8 RealVideo]
Michael's new video for "Outside" is currently on rotation at MTV, and the singer's new greatest hits album, "Ladies and Gentlemen," arrives in stores next week.
