Metallica's Ulrich Weds, Tours

Jan. 29 [8:00 EST] -- Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich wed his girlfriend Skylar Saturday night, and then made a very public announcement at Monday night's American Music Awards.

Ulrich, who was onstage with the rest of Metallica picking up a statuette for "Favorite Artist - Heavy Metal/Hard Rock," ("One" live, QuickTime, 1MB) alluded to the nuptials saying, "I want to thank James Hetfield for putting on the best outfit... and being the best man at my wedding."

Mr. and Mrs. Ulrich will have little time for a honeymoon, as Metallica's marathon tour continues to roll across North America.

If you want to congratulate Lars personally, you can swing by one of the remaining gigs on the group's tour.
