Megadeth Return To Familiar Turf For Net Chat

November 20 [7:55 EDT] -- The model Internet citizens and metal survivors in Megadeth will mark the announcement of the next leg of their U.S. tour by visiting MTV.com for a live chat Thursday evening.

Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine and bassist Dave Ellefson will swing by the MTV Arena in America Online (AOL keyword: mtvarena) Thursday at 8 p.m. for the usual chat-related hubbub, but will also announce dates for the second leg of their U.S. tour that night.

The band already completed one set of U.S. dates in support of its latest effort, "Cryptic Writings," and has since moved on to play Japan, Brazil, Chile, and Argentina.

Users who stop by for the chat and are up on their Megadeth trivia will also be eligible to pick up one of 10 "Mega-paks," which includes a special edition of "Cryptic Writings," a copy of the "Mortal Kombat Annihilation Soundtrack" (which the band appears on), a Megadeth comic book, and a one-year membership to the band's official fan club.

Of course, the guys in Megadeth are no strangers to the Internet; the band's official Megadeth, Arizona website (at www.hollywoodandvine.com/megadeth) has drawn rave reviews from users after its resurrection this summer.
