Maxwell Plans First Tour In Two Years

With a top five single under his belt, R&B crooner Maxwell is preparing to hit the road for his first tour in two years.

The ultra smooth singer is planning an outing that will kick off in late summer or early fall of this year, but an itinerary has not been firmed up yet.

The tour will be the singer's first since he made the rounds in 1997 behind his "Urban Hang Suite" album. The outing will also mark Maxwell's first tour in support of his record "Embrya," which hit stores last year.

He had planned to support the album with a U.S. tour last fall, and had enlisted the help of Magic Johnson Productions in mounting the tour. However, just two weeks before the outing was to launch, it was cancelled due to "personal reasons." No further reasons for the move were given (see [article id="1431986"]"Maxwell Postpones Tour For 'Personal Reasons'[/article]).
