Bob Marley Rarities Unearthed For Box Set

Rare and previously unreleased material from the early years of Bob Marley¹s enduring legacy will be the subject of a three-CD box set due next month.

Among its 47 tracks, "The Complete Wailers 1967-1972 Part 1" boasts 28 previously unreleased cuts from Marley's early days with the Wailers, including "Selassie Is The Chapel," a track long sought after by Marley aficionados.

The set, which arrives on March 17, is culled from the more that 220 songs that Marley and the Wailers recorded for JAD records before landing on Island Records in 1972. Many of the tracks included on the set were released by JAD, but only in very limited numbers as 7-inch singles in Jamaica.

The package will also include extensive liner notes and song information from reggae authorities Roger Steffens and Bruno Blum.
