Marilyn Manson Talks About His Film Role

Feb. 25 [Updated 15:00 EST] -- Marilyn Manson joins Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, and David Bowie on the soundtrack of the new David Lynch movie "Lost Highway," which opens nationwide on Friday.

Bill Pullman, Patricia Arquette, and a super-creepy Robert Blake star, and Manson and his co-conspirator Twiggy Ramirez also have cameos in the movie.

"It's very Lynch," Manson told MTV News of the project (QuickTime, 2MB).

"It reminded me of the same type of emotions that were in 'Blue Velvet,' that type of disturbing element. So I liked it." Naturally.

Manson and Ramirez appear as pornographic movie stars in fleeting cameos in the film, which proved to be a bit of a stretch for the controversial frontman.

"I've actually never been

a fan of porno," Manson said. "I really never watch it unless I'm stuck in a hotel and that's the only channel you get. It actually turns out to be more of a snuff thing than a porno."

Meanwhile, upright Americans can breathe a sigh of relief at the news that the Manson band's U.S. tour is finally over, and the group is now moving on to terrorize Japan.
