Marilyn Manson is in negotiations to headline the Family Values tour this fall, according to sources close to the production.
A spokesperson for Manson's management confirmed to MTV News that the idea of doing the tour has been presented to Manson and that the two factions are talking.
Slipknot, Papa Roach, Orgy, and Deadsy have all been mentioned as possibilities for the tour, although the lineup has not been finalized yet.
Metropolitan Concerts' John Scher told MTV News that while he cannot confirm any artists on the bill, he can say that neither Korn nor Limp Bizkit (the tour's past flagship acts) will be on the road trip. Scher did point out that Korn is a partner in the production and may well pop up at various points on the tour, as it did last year.
The third annual Family Values tour is expected to kick off in late September or October. Last year's production included 26 stops and featured the likes of Limp Bizkit, Filter, Mobb
Deep, Ja Rule, Run-D.M.C., Method Man, Redman, Primus, and The Crystal Method, as well as a brief stint by Korn.
