Madonna Reps Say Films, Not Pregnancy, Reason For Dropping Tour Plans

Madonna recently sat down for a Charlie Rose interview for "60 Minutes," and hopefully that chat will shed some light on why the singer has decided yet again not to go on tour.

In January, Madonna took to "Total Request Live" to announce that she would be hitting road come September for her first concert tour in nine years (see "Madonna Confirms World Tour").

However, now her record company says that she's too busy with film projects to tour. Among the movie projects on her plate is an upcoming film from director John Schlesinger ("The Falcon and the Snowman" and "Cold Comfort Farm") called "The Next Best Thing" which co-stars Madonna's pal Rupert Everett.

Representatives for the singer also shot down speculation that the tour plans have been squashed because Madonna is pregnant again. Not so say reps for Madonna.
