Deric "D-Dot" Angellettie, a.k.a. the Madd Rapper, has set an August 31 release date for his debut album, "Tell 'Em Why U Madd," the first record to be issued via Angellettie's own label, Crazy Cat Catalogue.Despite his name, the Madd Rapper has to be pleased with some of the friends and guests that weigh in on "Tell 'Em Why You Madd," including Busta Rhymes, Sean "Puffy" Combs, Raekwon, Eminem, Mase, and up-and-comers Erika Kaine and May West. Best known as a card-carrying member of Puffy's team of producers, "The Hitmen," Angellettie also handled the majority of the production duties for the LP. One of the featured tracks on the upcoming album is a schizophrenic track entitled "D-Dot Vs. The Madd Rapper," in which Angellettie flips between his two personas. As we previously reported (see "Puffy Producer Sees 'Blaze' Assault Charges Dismissed"), D-Dot was cleared of any wrongdoing in the alleged beating of former "Blaze"
magazine editor Jesse Washington by a New York City judge earlier this month. At the time of the attack, Angellettie was said to have been angered by a photo that "Blaze" ran that identified him as The Madd Rapper.
