"I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" star Jennifer Love Hewitt will not only be acting in the upcoming teen scream picture, but she'll also be appearing on the soundtrack as well.

Hewitt's song, "How Do I Deal," will be the first single released from the album, which is due out on November 17. According to Hewitt, the idea of her contributing a track was that of the movie's producers, and the whole project, from recording the song to shooting the video, took only about two weeks.

While on the set of the video -- shot on Monday in Culver City, California -- Hewitt, told MTV News about how she actually started out as a singer, not as an actress.

But I love acting, too, so if I could do both, that'd be great.

The video is being directed by Joseph Kahn, who also shot one previously for her fellow "I Still Know" actress Brandy, in her duet with Monica for the song, "The Boy Is Mine." As for the track itself, the single is expected to hit radio sometime next week, with the movie to follow on November 13. The rest of the soundtrack includes songs by Swirl 360, Orgy, Bijou Phillips, Grant Lee Buffalo, and others.
