Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Smash Mouth To Rock Jingle Ball '99

'Tis the season for radio promotional shows, and New York City's Z100 has just announced a lineup of Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, and Smash Mouth for the station's Jingle Ball '99 concert.

Z100 plans to add more artists to the Jingle Ball '99 lineup this week, and this year's edition of the station's annual yuletide show is currently scheduled for December 16 at Madison Square Garden, with tickets going on sale via Ticketmaster this weekend.

Last year's concert featured performances from Goo Goo Dolls, Boyz II Men, Monica, and Eagle-Eye Cherry, among others, and helped raise money for the local chapter of SHARE, a nonprofit organization that distributes food to those in need.

In addition to Jingle Ball '99, Smash Mouth has also apparently nailed down its Y2K plans, as the San Jose, California band will travel to Atlanta to headline its National Millennium Ball on New Year's Eve, a gig being co-sponsored by AT&T and local radio station 99X.

Smash Mouth will join

the Josh Joplin Band, Tender Idols, and Beth Wood for the Atlanta show at the Millennium Dome, a 10,000 square-foot heated tent that will be assembled in the parking lot adjacent to the Grand Hyatt Hotel.

AT&T is also helping stage millennial concerts in two other cities, as Jimmie's Chicken Shack, Better Than Ezra, and Jude will play at another Millennium Dome in Baltimore, while Marvelous 3, Emmet Swimming, and 2 Skinnee J's will perform at AT&T's other planned show in Washington, D.C.
