Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin Added To EMAs

Although she wasn’t able to attend the U.S. gala last month, Madonna has agreed to take to the stage and perform at this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards, slated for The Globe in Stockholm, Sweden on November 16.

The “Music” maven joins Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin as the newest adds to the list of performers for the 7th annual EMAs, which will also feature sets from the Backstreet Boys, U2, Moby, the Spice Girls, Robbie Williams, and Guano Apes, among others.

The Fugees’ Wyclef Jean, who is currently out on the road headlining the MTV Campus Invasion Tour, has been tapped to serve as the host of the EMAs, while Alice Cooper, Eiffel 65, Kelis, The Cardigans, Moloko, and Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson will serve as presenters.

In addition to performing, Madonna, Martin, and Lopez have all also been nominated for several EMAs, with Madonna’s “Music” video getting three nods in the categories of Best Female, Best Dance, and Best Song.
