Gone, but not forgotten.
Sublime, the Long Beach, California group who enjoyed the wealth of its success after becoming defunct, will release a live record, entitled "Stand By Your Van," on June 16. The album will be culled from material recorded at Sublime concerts in early 1996.
"Van" marks the third album to be issued after the death of the group's lead singer, Brad Nowell, on May 25, 1996. "Sublime" was released in July that same year, while "Second Hand Smoke," a collection of unreleased tracks and alternate mixes, was released in November of 1997.
As we previously reported, Sublime is not finished mining their archives, and there are still plans to release an acoustic album as well as a greatest hits package.
