Live Cancels Shows, "Letterman" Taping Due To Respiratory Illness

The Pennsylvania rockers in Live have been forced to cancel a few concert dates and a TV appearance because of a sudden illness that has sidelined half the band.

Live frontman Ed Kowalczyk, drummer Chad Gracey, and Ed's brother Adam, who plays rhythm guitar on the group's current tour, have all come down with upper respiratory infections.

The sickness caused the band to call off a concert in Detroit on Wednesday night as well as a show scheduled for Cleveland on Friday night. Live also had to pull out of a Thursday afternoon taping of "The Late Show With David Letterman" that was to air on CBS on Friday.

According to a press spokesperson for Live, the group will likely make up both shows sometime after the current tour ends following a November 21 show in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, and before Live starts its European tour on December 1 in the Netherlands.

Live is apparently hoping that the few days off will be just what the doctor ordered, as the band still

plans to resume its fall North American tour on November 13 in Toronto.
