Lit Singer Cleared On Indecent Exposure Charges

Accused of baring at all at a show last November, Lit frontman A. Jay Popoff is now in the legal clear.

On Monday, Mecklenberg County Court in Charlotte, North Carolina formally dismissed the indecent exposure charge that had been leveled against the singer following a performance at the Halton Arena on November 10.

Popoff was arrested after an onstage incident in which he dropped his pants, though not his underwear, yet he still managed to expose his manhood in the process. Lit was opening for Garbage as part of MTV's Campus Invasion tour when Popoff was taken into custody (see "Lit Singer Arrested For Indecent Exposure In North Carolina").

Lit is currently in the midst of its first headlining tour in support of "A Place In The Sun," which has sold 956,000 copies since its release in February 1999. The band will wrap up the first leg of the tour on Tuesday night in Columbus, Ohio and Wednesday night in Detroit.
