Limp Bizkit's Durst Gets VP Post With Interscope

After whispers of the move came earlier this week, Interscope Records made it official and named Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst to a senior vice president position.

As reported earlier this week, Durst will get his own imprint label in the deal, and will also help to sign and market bands, produce and remix music, and direct videos (see "Limp Bizkit's Durst May Be Executive Material For Interscope").

"I'm proud to have this position, but it means nothing unless I take the title and put it into action," Durst said in a statement announcing the move. "Interscope has already done amazing things to shock the world, and now I'm going to come in and create a musical revolution."

Durst may already be on the way to that goal. His band's latest effort, "Significant Other," debuts at number one on the "Billboard" album chart next week, finally knocking the Backstreet Boys out the top spot (see "Limp

Bizkit Knocks Off Backstreet Boys; K-Ci & JoJo, Missy Come On Strong").
