Britney, Lil' Kim, "Stone Cold" Turn Heads On Red Carpet

When you give rock stars an opportunity to strut their sartorial stuff, you can expect a few eye-popping outfits, and Thursday night's MTV Video Music Awards did not disappoint.

Perhaps besting the field in the "did you see that?" category was rapper Lil' Kim, who turned up at the VMAs wearing a dress whose sash only managed to cover half of her, leaving one breast covered with a stick-on applique.

While fans may have expected such an ensemble from Kim, teen pop queen Britney Spears came out of left field in a see-through top trimmed with feathers courtesy of designer Todd Oldham.

Perhaps Busta Rhymes and Moby topped the best dressed male list as Busta hit the carpet in what can only be described as a mustard colored backless ensemble, while Moby got wildly formal in a gold lame tuxedo (complete with gold lame shirt and tie).

Latin sensation Ricky Martin turned things down a bit from his high-flash "Livin' La Vida Loca" video, wearing a white dress shirt and tight

gray slacks.

Perhaps the boldest fashion move of the night came courtesy of Blink-182, who flew in the face of expectations by remaining clothed during their pre-show performance.
