X Hopes Summer Plans Include Dates With Pearl Jam, Lennon, Fleadh
The recently-reformed landmark L.A. punk outfit X has finally decided on a plan of action for this summer, and it includes dates with Pearl Jam, Sean Lennon, and this summer's Guinness Fleadh tour.
According to the band's manager, X has been tapped to open a string of dates for Pearl Jam that so far includes Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Portland in mid-July. The X camp also says that it has been invited to open Pearl Jam dates in Vancouver and PJ's hometown of Seattle.
Spokespeople for Pearl Jam were not immediately available to either confirm or deny the news.
X will also be packing its bags and heading out on this summer's Guinness Fleadh tour, which includes dates in New York (6/14), Chicago (6/20), and San Jose, California (6/28). When X graces the stage for the New York Fleadh date, the band will be sandwiched between Yo La Tengo and Shane McGowan on a bill that also includes Los Lobos, Wilco, the Indigo Girls, and more.
